Photographer’s Note

A boy from the mountain town of Hinche. The white hand I assume belongs to my travel companion, but it still looks like nothing is attached to it. Kind of like Thing...Anyway, the dark and the white hand is what makes the picture interesting to me, so I'll give it a go and see what you think...

A great B&W conversion, works really well with this boy's skin tones.

Definately needed 'Thing' cloning out. The eye is attracted to the contrast of that instead of his eyes.

The lad looks like a young Morgan Freeman.

BW is th right choice. The white hat and shirt nicely frame the portrait. I wonder who owns the hand on the boy's right shoulder?

Indeed, this white hand coming from nowhere is a striking element in this photo... my mind cannot help but look for the rest of the body... Searching for a body that lost a hand...! LOL Also the white hat versus his dark skin brings a strong contrast that is very appealling to me!

Very nice b&w portrait. The hands definitely add to this picture, but also a very beautiful child!!! I love the expression and his eyes are awesome!! My 'favorites' is full or I would for sure save this one. TFS

Hello Nana,
a beautiful portrait with that lovely boy looking you straight in the eyes and a great expression on his face; b/w perfect here, I actually pondered a bit about that hand, and actually I do like it, its' intriguing, it's a nice contrast to the black skin and the other hand. And yes, he looks a bit like a young M. Freeman:-).
