Photographer’s Note
Carrefour, rush hour.
Of course there is no real rush hour in Haiti ever, but it seems so when late afternoon clouds form for a squall in the rainy season. Haitians hate to get rained on.

Great shot Helmut, and excellent composition. The big imposing van is perfectly positioned, occupying a nice portion of the frame. And the perspective created by the arching tracks and the road are a real bonus. I like the graininess of the B&W too. Best regards, Roberto

very descriptive shot. I feel immerse in this caos atmosphere. the only order is your composition, very clear. Good choice of black and white in this one. Good DOF and PoV.
Good job!!!

Hi Helmut,
Superb image. I love to see that chaos in the street. All is there, people running, people jumping to the van-bus, the dust produced by the cars, all enveloped by the exuberant vegetation of a tropical place... and in the sky, those menacing clouds that so badly disturb the rhythm of the city... Excellent!
Best regards,
Andre

Helmut,
I like the composition and choice of black and white film in this photo. I like how the train tracks divide the photo into two sections with one section covering the man's ordeal to climb the van and the other section covering the boy running and other people minding their business. Excellent shot.

Hi Helmut!
Gread dynamism and nice framing with the electric wires and the railway line that lead the sight deep inside the image...
A smile (again)!
