Photographer’s Note

In the main commercial district of Masaya, Nicaragua, many forms of transport combine. Bikes, horses, decommissioned American schoolbuses and old vehicles mix with pedestrians to create a combustible atmosphere. Here, a guy in a bike goes by.

Took this shot on film, developed in darkroom, scanned on cheap Epson scanner, tweaked the color balance.

A beautiful old feeling to this composition, enhanced by the color treatment and also the square format. Very well done.

(A little nitpick: I think including another six or 10 inches more of the horses neck would have been even better IHMO)
