Photographer's Note
This is what I call an Albanian view! It has all ingredients in it, steep mountain background, stone built house roofed with stone slates, grape vine pergola and characteristic chimneys.
Everything in this house comes from no further that 1km from it. Pine and oak comes from the slopes in the background and you only need to dig to get to the stone and slates which are joined together with horse manure, hay and mud. No machines, no straight planks of wood, now smooth corners, everything is minimally worked on before put to use. Inside this house there will be wall fitted cupboards, huge chimneys, wooden flooring and carved wooden cellings. The loft is usually a storage full of dried fruit and nuts. A sring or mountain streem will provide the water. Food here is first class even by Albanian standards, best rakia in the world is made right here.

Hi Aleks.
I must admit Albania is quite unknown for me. Of course I know it existed, but other than that...very little. You give a nice impression by this photo and good little note. TFS.

Hello Aleks,
This is a fine picture with a very interesting and informative note. The building is nicely embedded among trees and the steep mountain sides provide a dramatic setting. The well cropped composition is nicely divided along a diagonal with a fertile foregrund and a harsh background. As long as the owner of the house honestly declares the amount of raki he produces, and pays the appropriate tax, all is well ;-)
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Aleks,
a wonderful composition showing the lovely self-suffient house, its orcard and ambiance. You have divided the frame diagonally in two parts, the lower one for the house and the vegetation around it; the upper for the wild beauty of the rocky mountains topped by fog (or clouds). I like very much the clarity and the deep "mountain" colours. This is a great example of how people can live collaborating with nature and not fighting it. Well done and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely week,
Ourania

Hello Aleks,
Ah, ha, your favourite - the Tomorri mountain again!
The fine houses we can see peeking out throught the trees, their whitewashed walls in contrast to the dark faces of the mountain behind. Lovely vibrant colours, perfect exposure and lighting and excellent sharpness.
Lovely!
Kind Regards,
John.
