Silk Road: Prespa lake Photo

Travels on the Silk Road:
The ancient Via egnatia from today's Durrës to Istanbul also touched the shores of lake Prespa. The village here is Gorica e Vogël on the Albanian side of the lake. The quality of the lake water is good, this explains the blue colour of the lake. The island marks a point where the territory of three nations meet: Greece, Macedonia and Albania. A small byzantine Church can be seen on the island. Albania progresses in great stride witness the new roofs of the houses. The houses had not been destroyed by war but by poverty and neglect.

The picture was 18% saturated and contrast enhanced, 15% sharpened. See workshop version,wher I desaturated it, again too much, uuhgh.

It's a nice colorful landscape, but I think you have done too much post-processing. The photo is clearly over saturated, and contrast is very harsh. The amount of sharpening looks OK to me.

I love this photo.I also would agree with Linas about the photo being over saturated and i better prefer the workshop version.Netherless the photo looks great to me,thanks for sharing.

Hi Dietrich,
Thanks for bringing us this fine view. there are many interesting details to look at.
I too feel there was too much post processing involved here - the contrast in the foreground is too high and colors over saturated. The background looks like it belongs in a different image - the colors and contrast of the two parts do not match.
The workshop looks better :-)
