Photographer’s Note

Blue dragonfly (libelle) shot on a rock in the historic site of Butrint. It is a quiet, green area with lots of water which seemed to be a good breeding ground for this kind of insects (in several colours).
It was not easy to take a photograph of these insects because they fly almost all the time and when they sit still, they fly away very fast when you approach them.
I had no tripod with me, so took the shot with full zoom, leaning with my shoulders against a wall. After 3 tries, I succeeded to deliver this one.
Adjustment on the background colour (the sun was shining very hard).
