Watchtower at the entrance of Butrint. Butrint is one of the hidden treasures of Albania and certainly worth a visit. The site of Butrint is a mixture of antique roman, greek and orthodox remains, an archeological marvell.

des couleurs vraiment différentes des photos précédentes.
Cela surprend.
Le coin est agréable et offre certainement un calme de vie appréciable.

Bonjour, cher Hendrik,
Tour puissante et massive gardant jalousement la beauté des lieux (je suppose que cet édifice à caractère militaire possède un passé chargé).
J'aime l'ambiance qui se dégage de cette composition avec cette barque qui pour le moment ne permettra pas une balade à moins d'écoper avec force et courage !

Dag Hendrik,

Het kasteel op zicht stelt niet zoveel voor, tenminste niet als gebouw, maar het zal vermoedelijk eens binnen wel verandering in brengen.
Blijkbaar is dit nog bewoond, want de staat van de muren zien er goed uit.
Uw compositie is zeer goed, u plaatste het kasteel mooi links waardoor er ruimte overblijft voor de rivier die op zijn beurt diepte en perspectief creëert, en ons leid naar de mooie bergen in de achtergrond.

An interesting perspective and presentation. The turquoise coloured water here is really enhancing and I like the way you placed the watchtower well off centre. The little green boat lends an air of serenity and quaintness to the scene. Well captured.

Hi Hendrik. Good to see you are posting again.
We don't often see shots from Albania. Good composition, roughly following thirds rules. The little details are interesting to see like the sinking boat. Good light and sharpness.

I agree entirely with you, Butrinti is a marvellous site. You found an excellent angle for this picture, the composition with the boats and the wilderness around the tower is a success. The light against helps for contrasts. Well done!
