Photographer’s Note

This is the view from hotel Seiko in Ksamil, a new resort on the southern edge of Albania close to the Greek border,
It is a former house of Enver Hoxa,the communist dictator who kept Albania in isolation for several decades,
There are three little island before the coast where you can swim to from the beach that you can reach easily from the hotel. In the background on the left you can see Corfu.

Hallo Gerrit,

Dit soort zonsondergangen werkt altijd, hoe dan ook. Sommigen zullen het een klassiek plaatje vinden, maar hoe dan ook, ook ik zou mijn camera richten als ik hier gestaan had. Die twee eilanden in het midden maken het zelfs nog interessanter tesamen met die palmboom (?) aan de linkerkant. Schitterende lucht, mooi gemaakt.

The Albanian sunsets, do not have anything to envy, with the more exotic sunsets. I like the silhouette of this plant of the cactus type detached on superb hot colors. The sea is its islands, are better effect. Congratulations.

There are some wonderful silhouetted shapes that decorate the lovely background colours. The palm tree is a real eye-catcher along with the gorgeous tone of orange.

I like a lot the strong layers and horizontal lines in this photo, they create a calm and relaxing feeling that certainly fits the idea of a resort :) the silhouette of the palm leave is a great accent, you saw that very well. the horizon seems slightly distorted, but that's not a major point.

I think here is a competition today because many of friends are posting reddish scenes from sunset, sunrise periods. Probably they started after your this amazing post.

Your POV is very creative while adding lots of different silhouettes to your scene. The vegetations at foreground, islands in the sea and next mountains. The color spectrum from red to blue on cloudy sky is wonderful. Congratulations. Have a nice weekend.

Wonderful texture from this wispy clouds that are brilliantly lit up by the fantastic night golds and flattering blues.
The silhouetted palm tree makes an excellent lead-in to this lovely sunset.
