Photographer’s Note
No, contrary to what many may believe, it's not the well-known bottle that has been classified by the UNESCO as a world heritage. It's the Ottoman houses in the background that have been found worth protecting.
This is from Berat in central Albania. Not so many years ago a sight like this would not have been expected in Albania, but times change.

Hallo Gert!
Great, simply great! A wonderful title and it somehow even is true ... for both shown objects ;-) Not many photographers would have chosen this point of view - but it works - in a great way. These houses look quite "modern" - amazing!
Greetings from a grey and rainy Germany - autumn has arrived!

Hi Gert,
a well known worldwide trademark and as i see in huge dimensions that hide a part of these old houses in Albania.I like the architectural style of the houses as the colours of the city, but i wonder why so big the bottle of Coco cola?

Hej Gert,
yes, the contrast could not have been bigger betweeen the cultural heritage (they are absolutely beautiful those houses) and this icon of capitalism. You have chosen an excellent POV! Times are changing! TFS!
Warm regards

Hi Gert, nice composition and certainly symbolical one. I remember how excited we were when Coca Cola appeared in Poland. Coca Cola - it is it! The better drink Pepsi! (Such were the slogans). Earlier it was a symbol of bad America. The same with McDonalds. I do not like them. so I would prefer these beautiful heritage houses without this hideous bottle :))
Warm regards

Hi Gert,
You have surprised me with this shot. It is definitely a very interesting POV. When I was in Berat I took many a shot of the old houses avoiding the bottle like a plague as I thought it was a hideous sight now you present us with such a great composition.
Fantastic work.

Hello Gert,
this is a smart composition with an intresting perspective, and a funny view - with this huge bottle in front of the historical houses! :)
Yes, times do change... and, perhaps, it seems that first of all when times start to change there comes COKE! at least, this was the case with the USSR...
warm regards,
Elena

Hello Gert
I have seen these houses before on TE and thought this could be an interesting destination. You have thrown in a whole new perspective. Funny and how rapid the change to consumerism. A well thought out composition. Tfs, Marlene

Hej Gert,
I like the diagonal composition with the background building. The addition of the red sign is also enhancing the picture. The bottle is quite funny, but also very ugly.

Your inspiration is clear Gert. The background is also the theme. Thank you for sharing your privilege to be in Berat. To the next one in your gallery. Friendly,
Branko
