The old houses of Berati reflected on the glass of Palma Hotel Cafe Bar. The best place to have an "expresso al italiana!" whilst being very close to the old quarter. I am not sure why they do not convert some of the old houses themselves into cafes they would be absolutely gorgeous to have a coffee in.

Hello Aleks,
I like how you find new angles to show Berat. The old town seen reflected in modern windows is a very telling picture of rapid change. I am sure that if tourism really takes off in Albania, lots of these old houses will be converted into restaurants and hotels in a few years. I saw it happening in Vietnam in the 90's, and the modernization of Albania today reminds me very much of Vietnam then.
