Photographer’s Note

This sweet old lady lives in one of the houses inside the castle of Berati. She was sitting in front of her house and made me very happy by accepting to pose for this photo. I might have used higher ISO than needed by it was a cloudy day and I thought better a grainy portrait than no portrait at all. The B&W version looks quite nice but I prefer the colour one as the scarf sort of smoothens the photo a bit.

Hello Aleks,
It's a shame that this fine portrait hasn't received the attention it deserves. The woman looks so nice and she poses very well, obviously aware of the situation but still very relaxed and natural. The background was perfect for the occasion and the light is very soft and pleasant.
