Photographer’s Note

I took this picture in Bay Tree Restaurant in Bogove which is a village about 25km from Berati. The spit roast has been used in Albania since the begining of time and it is still the most prefered way of cooking meat esp lamb or mutton. Spit roasting is not just about eating though it is about celebration.

Hi Aleks, I hope this is not how one of the sheep from your previous photo ended up.Why i find it interesting is seeing is that entire carcass is roasted head as well.Can almost smell the the aroma.Thanks Tom.
