[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
In the Belvedere garden in Vienna there stairs on each side between the Lower and the Upper Belvedere. The stairs are adorned by twelve cherubs, six on each side, that represent the twelve months of the years. In the photo you see three of them. In the background the Salesianerinnenkirche is seen. The Belvedere was built in the 1800th century by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt as a summer place for Prince Eugene of Savoy Commander in Chief of the Imperial Army during the war against the Turks. The Belvedere consists of two palaces the Lower and the Upper Belvedere.

Hi Ulf, great capture of a view no one else would even consider. Behind the wall, there is also a botanical garden, I might add. I admire you for the depth to which you researched your subject. Most are just happy to get the name and place right.
On a different note: did you also view the excellent collection of Gustav Klimt works on display at the Upper Belvedere?
Cheers
Otto
