The Railway Museum Strasshof is a branch of Technisches Museum Wien. It has an extensive selection of Austrian railway equipment with condition varying from perfectly restored to rusting away. The museum is on a former ÖBB services site, and is well equipped for restauration work.

I was looking for faded picture book appearance on this one. I first darkened the sky a little and increased contrast with unsharp mask. Then switched to CMYK mode. Decreased amount of yellow and black channels with channel mixer to imitate fading of yellow and black inks. Switched back RGB mode and decreased amount of blue to give an idea of yellowish paper. |

Hi Kari,
such a lovely composition (as for the photo and for the train) and wonderful ageing treatment. I like it very much.
Have a nice weekend,
Tomi

Hi Kari,
It looks too real to be a museum!! Until you look at the wheels, I could be passing this train on my way to my folks' house. I love the detail in the grass.

Hi Kari,
I like the subject of your photo and your composition and POV very much, but I'm not sure the faded picture book thing works for me (although you obviously worked hard at the PP and the result does give what you were after, and so I give you the second point). Liked your Note, thanks. TFS....
Regards, Jackie

Kari, the composition is ok. But what I really liked is how you 'olded' the photo, making it look as it was taken when these wagons were built. Very great inspiration to try such experiement myself -- thanks a lot!
