You have used the perspective lines of the river very well as lead-in to the scene. If handled correctly backlight can produce some wonderful images with excellent contrast. You have achieved that very well with no signs of over-exposure. The part-frozen river is sparkling beautifully. Good work

Hi Ulf,

The is a picture with a great clarity and brightness. One can almost smell and enjoy the cold, clear air.
The glitter if the sunshine in the melting water is lovely.

Bonjour Ulf,
une curieuse idée de nous replonger dans les neiges de l'hiver mais je dois avouer que cela va apporter de la fraicheur à ceux qui en ont besoin.
Moi, je trouve la vue sublîme, les blancs bien balancés et surtotu j'aime ce calme silencieux.

Hi Ulf,
A beautiful winter landscape from the Alps with a great light and a nice variety of blueish hues in the hazy background. The river, covered by ice and snow is well placed in the foreground, also to lead the eye nicely into the composition. Thanks for sharing!

A very beautiful image of mountains, with beautiful blue ... Like La Defense in Paris !!!
But the atmosphere is more relaxed and more calm, it would now need this cool in Paris.

You chose a very good angle for the showing of the Trisanna River.
Excellent perspective through the long river those us leads to the fantastic mountains in Background.
I feel the cold when I see the snow and ice, but splendid for this image.

A very beautiful landscape of moutians with a great depth of field, a nice FG. The compsition is very well balanced with the river in the middle. Good use of light gives nice contrast.

Like so many others I prefer to look at winter images in the summer, hahaha!
Well, I think I can live with this kind of winter, when the sun is regaining some warmth and small signs of upcoming spring shows up...
A well composed presentation with the diagonal river, difficult snow in backlight is well exposed!
