Photographer's Note

To me, one of the most important aspects of TE is that it helps me a lot to discover new travel destinations. This was proven again this weekend, when, after seeing some beautiful pictures of Ten Berghe castle by John (jhm) who has "discovered" the place, on our way to Brugge we have made a small detour to see it ourselves. This beautiful castle, which is located only 2.5 km from Brugge inner town, is not that famous, and I think if I would not see John's pictures I probably would never get to know about it, so thank you John very much! The castle, which is now a hotel, is quite old (16-17C I think) but has been extensively renovated in the end of 19C, and now looks more like a Neo-Gothic "fairy tale" castle than a medieval stronghold.

This is an HDR of three (0, -2, +2) handheld bracketed exposures made at iso 400 and blended together in Photomatix, the weather wasn't that good...
