A new bike trip today during the last nice autumn days, the weather become bad next week.
Lissewege Flemish village
History:
At a stone's throw from the Flemish coast and at 12 km from historic Bruges is Lissewege, also called the white village. The houses in the old village center have been painted white for centuries. The imposing 13th century church O.-L.-Vrouw visitation towers high above the polders and is in itself a reason to visit the village. The old houses along the picturesque old Vaartje, leaning from distant centuries as a row bear witness to long ago. People come, both in the summer and in the winter, enjoy the authentic character and are also happy to pamper gastronomically in the numerous eateries and restaurants with name and fame.
I hope that you enjoy it

Hello John,
A very recent photograph, laying testimony to some fine autumnal weather.
It is easy to see why this is called the white village!
This row of houses, following the route of the canal, are sharp and pristine, giving a cheerful atmosphere with their terracotta roofs.
Your viewpoint has created a fine sense of perspective, to a strong vanishing point.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hallo John,

Mooi gedaan!
Vele groeten, Paul

Hi John,
The length of the canal is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the houses. The light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello John
A lot of canals in Belgium. You seem to always get just the perfect POV. A must I would guess in such a place. I like the unique look of the row houses with a modern satellite dish for good measure. Nice

Hello John,
The houses by the canal make a pretty scene. I wouldn't mind living in one of them. 👍

Hi John
haha, we see one brown stone house among the white houses. I wonder how the other owners feel about that. Interesting how that large house has a shutter than comes down covering their upstairs window, thats different. Not much of a garden, but on the plus side they get a canal :) Charming for sure, sweet shot in this bright light, the blue sky is attractive too.
cheers

Bonjour, cher ami John,
Il est vrai que des façades blanches sont plus agréables que des murs de brique de couleur sombre, d'ailleurs, c'est parlant à travers les maisons bordant ce joli canal.
Une note intéressante, une photo réussie, que demander de plus;
Amitiés.

Hello John,
These buildings look slightly newer than in many of your photos, even though they seem to be very old according to your note. Like many others we have seen they are beautifully situated along a river, which you have wisely captured as we see it on a diagonal. You still had beautiful weather yesterday, with a very fine light. Maybe worse days are soon coming.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello John,
These canal side houses though nothing special possess a certain charm. Your photograph shows them to good effect; each one different from the other. Very good technical quality.

Un très beau canal qui s'enfonce dans la ville avec de bien jolies maisons avec beaucoup de fleurs pour agrémenter le tout. Une magnifique ligne de fuite qui donne envie d'aller plus loin.

Hello John,
An excellent exposure on the bright highlights with good sharpness and a fine angled pov showing 2 facades. The diagonal canal at right adds dynamism to the shot. Tfs!

Ciao John
mi piace questa foto, ci mostra una parte del paese senza caratteristiche statue, monumenti o architetture, ma una parte più comune, quella più popolare, quella della vita di ogni giorno.
Buon we

Hello John,
Bautiful view of row-houses in the suburb of Bruges, with a canal crossing their backyards.
The water have a nice effect upon the outcome, as side light graced the sight.

Hi John
Wonderful light control and tones. The architecture is exquisite and you did arrange the framing in an attractive manner with some fresh autumnal colour and the canal fitting the frame superbly. Excellent lens work and Congrats once again.
Best regards
