Damme

Damme and surroundings.

A new bike trip far away of people for COVID 19

My bike ride passed this beautiful place, the brown cows since one day back to the meadow, but a lovely contrast on this picture, everything very calm

A polder is an area surrounded by flood defenses, the water level of which can be artificially controlled. As a result, the water level within the polder is lower than in the surrounding area. Polders are generally crossed by waterways. For the water management it is necessary that the locks can flow properly. To ensure this, the ditches are inspected twice a year: it is checked whether the water is deep enough and whether there are no water plants in the water. Owners of land adjacent to water are required to inspect their locks.

I hope you like it.
