Photographer’s Note

Built as a monastery from 1775, it was dedicated to Saints Peter, Paul and Quirin on 05/09/1784.

Become parish in 1819, it was raised to the rank of a cathedral between 1920 and 1925 at the age of ephemeral Baltia government and diocese of Eupen-Malmedy.

The altar is of marble and dates from 1877. The marble altar of the Virgin Mary dates from 1773. The pulpit and the four confessionals date from 1770. The cathedral contains the shrine of St. Quirin.

To see also the windows have been replaced following the bombing in December 1944. The bell dates from 1786 and consists of 35 bells were cast by the Malmedy Martin Legros.


The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul of Malmedy leaves certainly not indifferent to the many tourists. Visitors can count on one coaching during their visit
