Photographer’s Note

On a misty morning, I made a walk in the fields. The sun, a pale white sun, made some very short appearances, just enough to create a mysterious light on the frosted grasses. The fog was so deep that I was nowhere on this misty morning.

Ce matin-là dans la brume, je me suis baladée dans les champs. Le soleil, un pâle soleil blanc, a fait de brèves apparitions, juste assez pour créer une mystérieuse lumière sur l’herbe givrée. Le brouillard était si épais que j’étais nulle part en ce matin de brume.

Tu as su profiter des mauvaises conditions de prise de vue pour donner ce bon résultat.
Le contre jour est bien travaillé.
Bonne perspective du chemin en diagonale.

Your POV is very creative while adding the hidden sun between two splendid tree silhouettes. Frozen road and next junction increase depth of your well captured photo. I like silhouettes of next trees in fog, frozen grasses and water a lot too. Excellent clarity and sharpness in natural colors. Congratulations.

Ma chere Catherine,

que fais-tu si tot le matin dehors. Si ce n'etait que pour faire de ravissantes photos, alors j'admire ton energie. Moi, je n'a pas cette determination et je me recupere en portant tout le temps mon Fuji dans le petit sac. On attrrape toujours sur quelque trophee dans l'objectif.

Elle est tres belle cette image. Elle m'est au coeur surtout a cause de cet orange pudique en combinaison du gris. La palette que j'adore appliquer sur mes toiles. Recois tous mes compliments pour cette realisation. Tant pis pour eux qui ne l'ont pas vue.

Mist always creates that special, fairy tale atmosphere, and you have captured perfectly this feeling! Great composition and framing, excellent light managment under dificult conditions! Congratulations!

Bonjour Catherine,
la région où j'habite, les hauteurs de Namur, m'offrent chaque jour ce genre de spectacle brumeux et froid, enfin en hiver.
Des faibles lumières, mais très astucieusement exploitées et rendues, tout comme l'est d'aillleurs l'atmosphère de cette prise de vue, fidèle aussi à la réalité.

Excellentes fêtes de noël à toi, et tes proches.

Hi Catherine,

What a wonderful mood. This is one of those 'aha' moments where something happens that transforms a scene. The sun rising behind that fog and your positioning to place it just so works perfectly and makes for an evocative image. This really displays the essence of a place made special by light and natural occurrences.
