JHM New 2019-2020

Together with my friend his car, to take his photo in Sijsele a beautiful forest and fishing area.
For my neighbor a real surprise, had never been here

Sijsele is a village in the Belgian province of West Flanders and a part of the city of Damme. With its 5,000 inhabitants, Sijsele is the main municipality and largest core of the city of Damme. Historical reasons lie mainly behind the fact that the municipality is named after the city of Damme and not after Sijsele.
In the 16th century King Philip II elevated Sijsele to barony, and in 1558 it was sold to Juan Lopez-Gallo, who already possessed the glory Male. In 1679 the jurisdiction of Sijsele was sold to the Brugse Vrije, and the title of baron van Sijsele was transferred to the lord of Rostune. In 1746, Sijsele and Rostune came into the hands of the Marquis de Sucre.

In 1769 the road from Bruges via Maldegem to Ghent was laid. On the territory of Sijsele, this meant that this road was located south of the Antwerp Heirweg. In 1795, Sijsele became a civil municipality.

I hope you like it
