Photographer’s Note

Sur le barrage de la Gileppe.
J'ai vu des enfants en vélo qui grimpaient sur les murs. Je voulais les cadrer mais ils partaient dans les coins. Il y avait de belles lignes et de jolis pavés.

Image prise du sommet de la tour, en compagnie de Didier (dkeus31) le lendemain de la rencontre TE de Liège.
Petit message personnel: J'ai bel et bien perdu toutes les images de l'après midi du 9 juin. Ma carte semble avoir connu un bug irréversible.

On the barrage de Gileppe.
I saw children in bicycle who climbed on the walls.
I wanted to crop them but they left in the corners. There were beautiful lines and pretty paving stones.

Image taken of the top of the tower, in company of Didier (dkeus31) the day after the meeting TE of Liege.

Hi Bertrand,

interesting composition. He really seems to be climbing thanks to the crop used. I like the grafism showed here with those lines on the corner. Great capture!

Bonjour Bertrand! Tres originale photo. L'angle vue d'en haut cree un interessant effet. On dirait que le petit garcon doit faire un effort impossible pour monter la pente. Bonne composition aussi. La diagonale dans le coin separant le gris et les briques colorees du trotoir et le cycliste dans l'autre coin. Tres bonne photo!!!

Pour une fois, je dois être dans le même fuseau horaire que toi :-) (je suis à Perth).
Désolé d'apprendre que ta carte a rendu l'âme... il faudra que tu repasses par Liège!!!
Heureusement que tu as tout de même sauvé quelques joyaux. Cette photo en fait partie. Très sobre, très graphique et en même temps très dynamique. Un très beau coup d'oeil.

Très bon effet de montée dans cette image ! De plus, le sujet semble en pleine effort et cela ajoute encore plus de crédibilité à la fausse pente !

Good POV and great composition with the little cyclist at this position.It really looks like he istdriving uphill.You did well not to crop,these lines are good for the composition and I like the soft colors of these stones.

Désolée d'apprendre que le contenu de ta carte mémoire est irrécupérable. Je serai curieuse de savoir ce qui s'est passé exactement. En principe ces carte sont garanties pendant de nombreuses années et tu devrais donc pouvoir en recevoir une nouvelle en remplacement. Malheureusement cela ne te rendra pas les photos de notre rencontre.
Tu as toujours un coup d'oeil aussi remarquable pour distinguer le détail dans une scène assez banale et cela donne une image très graphique et très bien réalisée.

P.S. Navrée pour le choix des dates de la rencontre Suisse, mais si je décalais d'une semaine on se retrouvait en plein équinox (21/22 sept.) et là il y a souvent un changement de temps. J'ai donc préféré conserver les dates que j'avais initialiement prévues. Mais je pense qu'il y aura d'autres rencontres...

Un bel effet d'optique qui fait penser que ce gamin s'attaque à une paroi quasi verticale. La partie gauche de la photo apporte couleurs et textures.
Un joli coup d'oeil à partir d'un super POV (comme tu sais les trouver!), très belle réalisation

Bonsoir Bertrand, je crois que tu as du ralé pas mal d'avoir perdu toute tes photos du samedi après après midi. Enfin soie positif cela te donnera l'occasion de revenir nous voir. L'endroit ou tu as pris cette photo donne une vision différente de ce que l'on vois habituellement. Les pavés rouges donne un beau contraste au gris de la route, et le garçon sur son vélo donne de la vie à ta photo.

You like the bird's view a lot, and this really bears much interesting moments to be admired. Faded pink and blue looks nice at the corner, and transportation minimalism is at its best again, as in all of your "tower" photos. Congrats,

You have achieved an excellent effect with the tilt as it does indeed appear as if he is riding up a steep slope. The way he is standing on the pedals adds to the effect as it seems he is putting in lots of effort.

Belle photo et très difficile a faire a cette distance, je l' ai moi meme ratée enormément de fois car ces petits polissons au moment du déclic sont disparu de la visin, comme certain annimeaux d' ailleur. PS Vraiment dommage la perte de vos photos. Amitiés Thomas

Tu as su attendre le bon moment pour prendre cette photo avec le jeune cycliste bien placé en haut à droite. J'aime aussi le graphisme crée par la route et pavés bi-colores.
C'est dommage ce qui est arrivé avec ta carte.

Bon timing et belle prise de vue de ce jeune cycliste pédalant en danseuse afin de surmonter la cote. les couleurs pastels du trottoir pavé contrastent bien avec l'asphalte grise et les lignes créent un impact graphique.

This is one of those shots that I can tell is yours just from looking at the thumbnail without seeing your name. And it doesn't even have a solitary tree in it! What it has is a lot of style and atmosphere, a lot of geometry, and an outstanding composition resulting from pressing the shutter at the exact right moment.
