This is a group of guild houses in Grand Place, Brussels to the left of the City Hall. From left to right La Rose (the Rose) from 1702 and with the restaurant La Rose Blanche, L'Arbre d'Or (the Golden Tree) or Maison des Brasseurs (Brewers House) from 1698 with a guilded equestrian statue of Duke Charles of Lorraine on top of the roof, Le Cygne (the Swan) with a sculpture of a swan above the door of the elegant restaurant La Maison du Cygne and finally a house called L'Etoile (The Star) with an archway over the street.

I notice this is last year and a couple of days before Christmas!
I guess we Northerners will say something is lacking for the X-mas atmosphere, but everyone cannot have it all...
Exceptional details in the architecture, the seasonal mood comes from the busy activity in the square!
