Photographer’s Note

In the cobbled streets of Bruges, a duel between Canon and Nikon took place.

Here, dressed with black trousers and indigo shirt, you can see my friend and high profil TE member dkeus31, preparing to shoot with his D200.

Don't confuse the belgian Didier Keus with the swiss Didier Cuche, who just win today the silver medal at World Ski Cup.

P.S.: The lighter trail next to the bike is not due to a sunray, but rather to repetitive passage of horseshoes.

Très bon André!! Didier est presqu'incognito. Ça m'a pris un moment pour voir l'incongruité. Un peu à la Où est Charlie. J'aime l'idée du duel. Mais j'aime mieux l'idée de la fille sur le vélo avec la lumière juste à sa droite et qui continue jusque derrire elle. Le décor est vraiment beau, vraiment euro.

ben, je viens de regarder, la photo que je prends est bien ratée: contre jour (avec un ciel blanc) et la cycliste moins bien de dos...
ici, c'est bien réussi, si il n'y avait pas le paparazzi sur la gauche :o)))

Salut Cousin,
Te voilà en KeusLand avec qui plus est ton guide personnel dans le cadre de l'image. Je vois qu'il a essayé de se faire discret en se planquant derrière le réverbère, mais c'est un peu raté. Heureusement cette charmante cycliste passe juste au bon moment pour distraire (ou plutôt attirer) notre regard, d'autant plus qu'un rayon de lumière s'est fait complice pour la mettre en valeur. J'aime la rue étroit qui disparait vers le fond de l'image entre ces façades typiques.

Hi Andre,
Again a funny picture, this time with Didier photographing a cyclist and you the both of them. Like your title, did not expect to see Didier ;-)
Seeing the blue sky it seams you had good weather here according to the blue sky with great perspective depth.

Même si ce n'est pas ma photo préférée parmi tes derniers postées, j'apprécie la lumière et les couleurs. On se demande ce qui a attiré le paparazzi de gauche à l'appareil braqué sur le verso de la cycliste?

This could easily be made into a postcard, except that Didier is in the photo ;-) The color and contrast are very nice, and very intriguing. The sunlight must have been somewhat muted because I can't see any hard shadows and the exposure looks great all around. Perfect timing with the girl too.

Je vois que la chasse a la gazelle est ouverte, mais la pauvre, se faire ainsi allumer par un jaune... ;-)
Je suis epate par le ciel et cette ambiance ensoleillee, moi qui avait entendu parler de drache... en plus meme le pave a l'air sec, on m'aurait menti ???
En tout cas on voit que le decor est de premiere classe et sur la version large on doit mem pouvoir lire le menu du resto ou vous etes rentres juste apres vous abriter de la pluie...

Two good photographs from your hand in my favourite list today! But one has to choose and since the other one already got enough attention, I'm going for this one.
Interesting note for the sunray. I also thought it was a sunray. Funny. Thanks for sharing this one!

Hi Andre,

A Year ago we were at this place at this period of this year. It goes fast. I love the POV and the colors here, the scene is alive with the girl on bike coming on your way and the photograper trying to catch something. You surelly had a better angle tham him.

Great colors, and everything looks nice and sharp although it feels very soft (does that make sense:-)
