Bruges is probably one of the best preserved medieval city, a real european gem.

I've heard and read about the beauty of this historic town and prominent World Heritage Site of Unesco, but walking in these beautiful streets totally go beyond my expectations.

I like very much this picture you propose from Bruges, it emphasizes this very pretty place even more. The lights are special here and the reflections superb and with those very soft colors, the composition is perfect.

See the trees. Sharp and meaningful! ;) Brugge is indeed a fantastic town. I have precious memories from there - although not many photographically speaking; TE was not part of my life when I visited the place. I like your reflection shot. Very good in terms of technique. I could say that I miss some life form here, but I am not saying it! ;) Don't want to push too hard on you this morning!!! :)))) It's a great one.

this one needs a couple of swans too andre;)... beautiful with the reflection on the canal indeed... it is unbelievable that someone looking at this spot would have seen the same thing hundred years ago...

One of the better shots of this delightful city.
The trees are well used to frame the buildings. You have caught a lovely light on the buildings, and some very warm colour tones. Bruges is famous for its reflections and your reflection here is very good. Nice viewpoint and perspective. Very well done.

Hi Andre,
It could use a boost of colours on the buildings and sky, but i like your presentation and the pov which really shows how beautiful this town is. The framing at the top right with that overhanging tree adds great detail for the overal composition, just as the vertical format which works very good here...

Comme moi, tu éprouves visiblement beaucoup de plaisir à te balader le long de ces canaux, un peu à l'écart du flot touristique. Quand on a la chance d'avoir une si belle lumière, les reflets deviennent somptueux et ton sens inné du cadrage fait le reste.

Bruges is an amazing city. I have never been there but the photos and paintings created from this city are incredible. Your photo is amazing also and I like the fact that you did not over-sharpen it. The somewhat softly rendered image is perfect. You must have gone crazy with these old buildings and the beautiful waterways. This is a marvelous photograph!

Salut mon bon cousin,
Tiens tiens un endroit qui me dit qqch, mais cette fois je n'irais pas, meme si je dois rencontrer demain un habitant du coin... Joli petit canal tranquille et la reflection est tres jolie, y'a meme le petit nuage pose pile poil sur l'eau pour compenser l'absence de barque.

Bonjour, André. Une très belle image de la Venise du Nord. La composition est très soignée avec les arbres qui ferment la photo sur la droite et sur la gauche. Celui de droite est particulièrement bien placé pour mettre en évidence la belle rangée de maisons. Les reflets sont splendides et le petit nuage est idéalement placé au-dessus du beffroi.

Salut André! Je me souviens de ma propre surprise en découvrant Bruges. J'avais également beaucoup entendu parler de cette ville. La réalité dépassait tout ce que j'en avait entendu dire. Les couleurs de ton images sont belles et chaleureuses et ta composition parfaite. Bravo! Eva
