One of the already defeated racers... Frederik Willems, who is from the little village "Bentille", a few kms. from my home. A good classic racer, but this "Ronde van Vlaanderen" (Tour of Flanders), the most respected race in Belgium, was very heavy. The winner Stijn Devolder went for a solo at 25 kms. from the finish, all the rest had to race for a place of honour...

I saw the last part of the race on TV here in North Carolina. The weather looked pretty cold.
