Ce jeune garçon jouait aux échecs sur la place de Srebrenica, trop sérieux pour son jeune âge, dans cette ville martyre de nombreux jeunes et moins jeunes du monde entier viennent donner de l'animation aux enfants; Ici nous avons rencontré un groupe d'italiens qui restaient deux semaines pour s'occuper des enfants des camps ou de la ville.

En juillet 1995,Srebrenica : en quelques jours, plus de 7000 hommes étaient exécutés.

Tandis que se poursuit l’identification et l’ensevelissement des victimes au mémorial de Potocari, les associations des mères des victimes de Srebrenica exigent que la lumière la plus complète soit faite sur cette tragédie majeure de la fin du XXe siècle.

I think the composition of this is quite decent and you caught a pretty good moment. HOwever, I just can't get by the overexposure and I also find that your choice in toning makes me even more aware of the overexposure. I assume you chose the toning you did to cover up for the exposure, but it just doesn't work for me I am afraid.

Bonjour Francine: I love the B&W here, the contrast is hard but it works giving kind of dramatism to this peacefull shot. I love the gesture of the boy. I went to Sarajevo just after the war and I still remember the graves in the parks. It was a touchfull travel for me. Take care.

Francine bonsoir - très jolie prise de vue et note poignante qui fait facilement comprendre la tristesse qui se dégage de ce garçon - La compo est très bonne avec ces énormes pièces d'échec et le NB une excellente idée -
