Hi Francine, love your beautifully composed photo and appreciate the note. I may be wrong, it could be my screen; the background wall maybe needs some adjustment in terms of noise/gradient.

Hello Francine,
Very interesting theme of 'old & new' present in this. I like the difference in clothing between the two person. The compo is elegent showing the size of the place. That inclusion of the little green twig is actually quite nice, instead being a distraction it adds extra refreshing colours to this place.
...this seems so peaceful - an extreme opposite of what had happened over the past century!
Excellent docu-style post.

Bien vu ces deux femmes que tout semble séparer. La compo eset très bien faite avec la colonne sur la droite pour fermer l'image, la porte décentrée etles femmes qui s'ignorent. Ta note est très intéressante aussi.

Hi Francine, I looked at the thumbnail and I was struck by the similarity between this one and the thumbnail of this photo.
I like the peacefulness of the picture, these two people sitting patiently on the floor, that very old column, and the beautiful ornamented door.
But there's a strange purple cast at the bottom of the picture, do you think it's your PP work? or was there some purple reflection?

I like this shot but do not know why!!!
Very simple framing with kool objects with minimum action & giveing a sense of relaxation in hot atmosphere.

Salut Francine, j'aime bien cette compo et le contraste des manières de vivre que tu nous montres, ce pilier et le trottoir sont super bien placés et permettent de donner de la dimension à cette photo. Il y a pas mal de bruit sur le mur derrière, ça vient du Minolta ?

This is indeed an elegant shot. I love the predominant pastel nature of the colours and the cultural differences highlighted by the clothing and the distance between the two ladies. The Islamic influence is strong in the shot, and works very well in this context. Very well composed and captured.

Ben j'aime bien cette photo..En effet, deux mondes, deux cultures différentes qui ont du mal quelque fois à se comprendre...
J'aime bien car l'éloignement de ces deux femmes ajoute aussi à l'éloignement des cultures.

Interesting photo and quite elegant. The architecture of this old mosque is beautiful and you menaged to capture i well.

It shows the nature of Bosnians, muslims, but ethnically and partly culturaly Europeans. The lady on the left probably finished her prayers so she has no head scarf on her head. This is so not muslim, because muslims are expected to live their religion all the time. The western, secular, influences are clearly evident..

Aujourd'hui je visite la Bosnie...
Dans cette photo, tu aurais pu te contenter de ne cadrer que la femme de droite avec son vêtement assorti au mur, la gracieuse position de son corps, l'élégance de sa tenue, mais avec ton oeil averti, tu as de suite vu qu'il y avait quelque chose de plus fort à montrer...cette opposition de ces deux femmes...c'est bien vu. J'aime à imaginer l'instant d'après...et un rapprochement ne serait-ce que par le sourire.
