yes I like the shot Francine.
It looks so easy but through using the big frame it become marvelous, well chosen for the black and white and very good piece of art photography, good job, have a nice day.

Hi Francine,
The former Yugoslav area is surely a place I would like to visit one day. Not just to see the impact of conflict and the way people cope, but also because I do hear that the area has some beautiful nature!
Good note. Guess I have seen too much poverty over time to feel sadness with respect to this posting - though I fully comprehend the concept of war and human suffering. I like your photographs (original posting and workshop) for what they are to me; Wonderful captures of the present, based on the difficult history the area has known. Thanks for sharing!
Greetings, Dennis

A+
Dominique
Hello Francine,
So to see the remains from the war are still there, wonder if they will clear those damaged buildings in the future. Your perspective is nice, but more the b&w toning what makes this image. gives the right sense to it, very good work.

Salut Francine,
Tu as raison.
A bientôt

Interesting place, important photo. Superb note.
Regards my friend.

Marianne

Hi dear Francine,
A scene from Mostar, where my encestors came from. A good reminder to my roots.
Mostar is for sure a sad chapter in the history. And this just towards the end of the XX th century.
The faces of those buildings are there as evidences of this period. Which should never and never repeat.
TFS and best regards

I well remember how my blood was freezing while strolling in the streets of Mostar. I had a photo of the same place in my gallery, but i removed it months ago. Terrible history and having it in THIS century is even worse, as it is the same for all the wars of discrimination and other causes. Man will never be sane enough to deserve living in a world of peace...
Best wishes,
Deniz
This stuff is brutal and deserves to be shown brutally...
Your photo dear Francine, is a tremendously honest piece of reality of that place and of those cruel times…
Off with that white ‘decorative’ frame around it…
It looks like if your , down to earth true photo was intended to be hang on the wall in some gynecologist waiting room (???)
The picture in there is heavy in emotion…
Don’t make it ‘fotka’ !!!!
Love and peace, dear sis..

Very good B&W picture of the street "Aleksa Santic" (named after one of the biggest poets in former Yugoslavia). This street was dividing line between Croats and Muslim soldiers.
Best regards!
