Nesebar (or Nessebar) is a picturesque town in the region of Burgas, situated on a small peninsula, connected with the mainland with a narrow man-made isthmus.
The town of Nessebar is one of the oldest towns in Europe. The first ancient Thracian settlement was called Mesambria, it was founded in the 2nd century AD.
Nessebar is best known for the old town on the peninsula. A new part of Nesebar was built on the mainland as a resort of the Bulgarian Black Sea Riviera.
The compact old town is full of monuments dating back to different historical periods. There are about 80 houses in the typical local style, high stone foundation and first floor built of wood. It is interesting that there are 41 churches (or ruins of churches) on the small peninsula. The largest number of buildings date from 11th to 14th centuries. The town is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, cars must be left on the mainland.

Cześc Rysiek, Pamietam Nesebyr jako urocze miasteczko na półwyspie ze starymi cerkiewkami i domami. Byłam tam prawie 60 lat temu, a potem jeszcze raz 40 lat temu. Warto by zobaczyć jeszcze raz. Fajna panorama. Ciekawy drewniany mlyn.

What a pleasant holiday place with water and much green around the houses. Sharpness and clarity are very nice.
Perspective and depth give a nice presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

The snaking road wisely positioned at the edge of the frame makes an excellent lead-line directing the viewer toward the town and its interesting ensemble of architecture. The whole is very nicely illuminated and has superb colours and clarity.

Quel bel endroit. J'aime les branches de l'arbre sur la gauche qui apportent de la profondeur à l'ensemble. J'aime aussi les belles couleurs estivales de l'endroit.

Nice view across the water and the causeway towards the orange roofs of the town. The composition is good and the bright colours go really well together.

This is a very nice view of the former island and the causeway connecting it to the mainland. I can spot some delightful structures worthy of exploration across the water.
