Photographer’s Note
Hi, there,
To indulge my whim to have some BW postings, I'm offering you this remake in BW to train your different perceptions:)
To learn the story of the shot, go to the photonote relating to the shot in colour.
I took this shot to have the waitress. Her thoughts were far far away from serving us when we had coffee time in Sliven:)
Enjoy and dream. It'll make you smile:)

Hi Valeria,
Nice legs and faces .. very good title and good note..
A very good B&W photograph..depiction of the thinking beauties.. i like this one better than the color on in the relative sense (not that color one was bad)..

Hello Valeria,
I like this image, the portrait of the three women, with the two in the foreground conversing, the waitress in the background in a contemplative look. It works very well in B&W, indeed I believe much better than in color. There is a minimalist quality to B&W, where the subject and theme are sometimes overwhelmed by the splash of colors.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Valeria,
nice snapshot in B/W of these women that each one have different expressions.I like the triangle of the shot as the set stare of the waitress. The tints of the blacks and the light are very good.
Have a nice afternoon,Danos

bonjour,
belle composition

Hello Valerka,
I very much like this black and white composition; it has a great atmosphere to it. The two ladies in the foreground deep in conversation whilst the waitress is obviously miles away deep in her own thoughts. Very good black and white conversion.

Bonjour, Valeria.

Hi, Valeria -
While the color version is OK, converting to B&W forces us to focus on the faces and the expressions in them. Very nice character study.
Best,
Dan

Hola Valeria.
I think both shots are very good, the B&W vs color. I'm not a fan for B&W pictures but in this case the expression of each woman looks stronger than in the color shot, very good composition and a great POV.
Well done.
Wish you a nice weekend.
Cheers.

Zdrasti Valerka,
It's a great shot! I prefer B&W here, and always on people shots, it's more dramatic.
Have a nice day!

Hi Valeria,
I did a overview on your gallery and I like very much your B&W photos.
In this shot you have picked an emblematic vision of the life every day.
I Like gamma tones and sharpness.
My compliments.
A presto

Hello, Valeria!
You have prtrayed three persons during one shot in this picture! It is really difficult and interesting. Very nicely arranged scene and good note to understand it.
best regards,

Hello Valeria,
thank you for sharing the original version. it is very easy to see the influence of B&W on a photo with your comparison. it really makes you focus on the feelings of the models.
best regards,
D:)

Hello,

Jean-Charles

Hi Valeria,
I like the suggestiveness of this shot, what may seem like a normal everyday scene turns into a drama.
very well chosen PoV and framing.
Thanks for sharing

This is wonderful Valeria - the relationship across the frame between the two women works so well, the one talking and the one listening - but then the presence and the expression of the waitress in the background lifts this to a great piece of observation and a really great composition. As george says it is a real feast!
best wishes Kev
