Photographer’s Note

How many times in your life have you seen an old good red Lada, full of fresh green cauliflowers and leeks, in a gas station? Well for me it was the first time! :-)...Picture taken yesterday in the outscirts of Plovdiv in South Bulgaria on my way to Varna...More postings from there next days;-)

First time for me as well. This is really a funny photo. Somebody is going to make a real BIG salad... Good catch to get the worker in red like the car. It adds a lot to the image. Really well framed and very good light. Very good job.

I believe that there are some vegetables in the fuel tank as well, George. A great funny shot. Did they invent a new kind of organic fuel? Very well spotted and captured.

Red is the colour of this shot !
Besides, it is a funny and incredible shot ... all these vegetables in this car !!!

Hi George, you're right, loaded with so much veggies it's the first time, but I've already seen plenty of Ladas, Jigoulis and Moskvitches loaded with everything possible that looked like trucks ! Just try to imagine how it smells inside this one... I guess they will supply a whole village with such a load. Well seen and caught, with good focus and superb red colors, you could just have cropped away the cut "Mini Market" sign.

A greek in Bulgaria! I was amazed when I went there to see no Greek or Romanian cars there, even just across the border. It seemed that only the Turks visited. Anyway, a very amusing well spotted shot. Lucky you going to Varna, yesterday! I wonder if you'll meet Maria.

La lada est une voiture à tout faire apparemment ! C'est vrai que c'est la première fois que je vois une voiture chargée de cette façon. C'est une voiture maraîchère ! ;-))

It looks like a Ferrari´s pit-stop in F1 race. I like all the red things in the image. And of course the contrast between "Ferrari", "the mechanic" and the vegetables is just incredible...

I really like the attitude of the red worker walking relaxed, hands in the pockets. He doesn't seem to be impressed by that load of vegetables. Shouldn't he redirect the vehicle to the trucks alley ? Colours are bright, even the ground surface is glistening ; I can almost smell the benzine vapours. The surrounding is very modern the Lada fell there from another time.

Ha, a very interesting and funny find, George. What an amount of vegetables inside the car .. The dashes of red elements all across the frame contribute to the lively total. Well seen and captured.

Ωραία χρώματα, ζωηρά από ένα αυτοκίνητο που σπανίζει στην Ελλάδα πλέον και ήταν κάποτε και αυτοκίνητο της οικογένειάς μου για κάποια χρόνια! :)

So so funny picture :) i wonder if the driver could control all the angles at driving(specially his/her back) so in case she/he were fined has powerful reasons to blackmail the police . It is so original , that combination , cyrilic titles , an communist icon in cars as Lada was and that surrealistic funny seqyence with the leeks and cauliflowers

Nothing more original , so so subtle ;))

Well it's an interesting capture but there's no real art to it is there? Background very cluttered and confusing. Things chopped off at random. Couldn't you have found an angle with a more coherent context for this really amusing, interesting subject matter?
