Another shot from the construction site, this time a guy with a grinding machine.
There are so many good subjects to photograph in a construction site, that i can not believe I never did this before.

PP: converted to B+W, clarified and framed.

Excellent B/N, with good effects of light sparks, regards, Donatella

A fab industrial and man@work shot, Harry! I really dig the dynamism the sparks and the expression of the worker. A nice set of greys too.
Have a nice week,
Bert

Harry -
Nice envorinomental portrait. I think the man is excited to have his shot taken at work - something that doesnt happen to often i suppose!
I see you have an affinty towards black and white - you do it very well.

Dave

Um abraço Gonçalo

Hi Harry, good shot but I like the photo with welder man much more.

TFS and regards!

Philip

I really like the man expression. It look smiling. He remember me the taxi driver that sometimes I take to the work.
Nice photo and work with the BW.
Andre

Hello Harry. I have been looking at your great b/w shots. They are certainly very striking and quite different from most TE photos. This one is a superb composition, closely cropped to very good effect. The sparks and the tilt add a really dynamic touch and I like the strong tonal range of the man and his clothes against the over-exposed background and sky. It looks great. Very good work!
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Harry, long time no see. I can see that you are showing your related work activities on TE. Good for us to see various work that people do everyday in their daily life. Your shot is sharp and very nice from the angle you shot. Well done. Sothy

Extremely nice tones you have here; very good portrait, too. Of course he has no protection - he wouldn't be a real Bulgarian otherwise.

Hola Harry,
Mirari.

Gosh Harry! I am discovering your "The working man" series just now. Very interesting subject indeed and very good photos too. This one makes me wince a bit. I work in the occupational health & safety field, so I can't help it!
I agree with your note too, a very interesting subject for a photographic project.
It is a great "right into the action" shot. The sparks, the motion, his face...
I am quite amazed to see that it was taken with the little Canon Ixus 75. Another proof that the camera is not the only thing that matters! And, by the way, a very good B&W conversion.
Keep shooting Harry. It is worthwhile!
Claire

Hi Harry,
great and unusual shot, nice to see such subjects here...He seems to be doing that like it's nothing, no protection and almost a smile...I like your composition very close, very detailed, his expression, excellent b/w. Really good work!

TFS
Michèle
