Rila monastery:
Famous wall paintings made between 1840 and 1846 by Zahari Zograf, Ivan Nikolov and other artists.
A great thing about the Rila monastery is that the beautiful architecture and the famous wall paintings are found in the silent beautiness of a mountainous scenery.
As I found out later all the Bulgarian monasteries are surrounded by beautiful nature. |
