The beautiful old town of Plovdiv is declared an architectural museum reserve with over 150 monuments of culture, buildings from the National Revival period.

One of the most remarkable buildings is the house of Argir Kuyumdzhiouglou.

It is built in 1847 by Hadji Georgi and is a fine example of the Bulgarian Baroque architecture of the National Revival Period.

This beautiful house has been used for various purposes: as a girl's boarding school, then a millinery factory and a tobacco warehouse, while in 1943 the exhibition of the Municipal house was opened in it.
Since 1951 it houses the Etnographic Museum of Plovdiv, one of the most interesting museums in Bulgaria.

Interesting, Kuyumdzhiouglou is Turkish. Your composition is clever with the view of the building through the window. Fine contrast work. Technically impeccible. This photo could easily go into a guidebook on Bulgaria. Regards,
