Photographer's Note

The Neretva river (225 km long) flows through Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia and empties into the Adriatic Sea forming the beautiful delta. The total area of the delta is estimated at around 19,000 ha. The Neretva delta is an unique landscape, drained by a system of canals which bound a patchwork of cultivated plots, the area is an immense orchard of orange and lemon trees. In this region are grown tangerines, olives and watermelons, and eels can be fished in the canals.
The whole delta is surrounded by gentle hills.
