Photographer’s Note
Kutna Hora is a medieval silver-mining town in Central Bohemia. It was so prosperous that the town burghers decided to build a church to match the cathedral of Prague. It is dedicated to the patron saint of miners, St. Barbara. Its construction was commenced in 1388, and it was never built to the originally planned extent. As the silver mines declined, the work on the church was stopped and the church was eventually handed over to the Jesuits.
