Photographer’s Note
...no matter the age.
This is from the Dragon Boating World Championship.
Both this fellow and I were there to photograph the beautiful boats, but instead, this guy photographs beautiful... well... medals ;-)

Hi Dagmar,
I want to believe he`s shooting the medals:)
Anyway, the girls are happy and that`s the most important:)

Sometimes I have the same logic: without photographer in action the subject is banal. Your shot has the new dimension with your friend in red. Nice reaction, dear friend Dasha!

Hi Dagmar,
By tilting the camera, the photographer want to capture the medals and the neckline of girls. Excellent capture, you frame this composition very well. Great light and beautiful natural colors.

Hehehehe, you've given me a good laugh over this one Dasha. Great spotting and your Note and title are hilarious. Wouldn't you just love to know exactly what his photo finally turned out like! I bet he's a Nikon-user, most of them are dirty old men :) Ha! Have a lovely day, here's a hug, Lisa.

Hello Dasha!
You naughty girl, what did you have in mind? The man (and his camera) is clearly focused on the medals :-))). Excellent humorous photo, great daily life scene, great composition and framing, and excellent title! The girls look happy anyway, and that's what matters!

Hi Dagmar,
Well framed action shot. Good colours and nice smiles, hard to keep serious on such a moment. His close angle makes me think of shots of Polonaise.

oh yes Dagmar, boys will always be boys. I am one and believe me, this one is not taking pictures of the medals...or maybe he took one for proof and then turn to more important subjects...
stay far from dirty Nikon user ;)

ahahahh - this reminds me of of an ad on the cover of a comic magazine when I was a kid: x-ray spectacles. the ad showed a guy with these glasses on, looking at a girl (or, if the ad had to be believed, through the girl's clothes...).
yes, he is definitely shooting the medals.
great funny shot =)

Hello Dasha, Boys will always be boys no matter their age, I believe this photographer had one eye on the medals & one on the girls holding the medals. You had a quick eye & hand to capture all the action, well done an interesting shot with excellent colour, detain & some very important humour. Lovely medals, especially the Blond ;-)))
Thanks

Hello dagmar
I fully agree with your category choice : humour and decisive moement. I notice that this photograph is going to be as red as his shirt : a sort of shame :) !.
Warm regards

Likely the wide angle allowed him to capture the medals and some more personal interest too don't you think so!
