Photographer’s Note
Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and after "the Velvet Revolution" of 1989, today's street scene is lively and young and in many parts a Disneyland. Kafka has become the ubiquitous icon. His melancholy portrait is inescapable, adorning T-shirts, coffee mugs, posters, puppets and above all, graffiti. Franz Kafka, successor to Mickey Mouse...

Very good shot, I like it. Most of all, the saturation of colours and the composition "from above".
Well done.

Hello Andre,
Very good lighting and clarity for your shot. You have chosen a nice POV showing the winding street.Where were you?On a taller building than these?
The Red roofs are a feast to watch in this light colored walls.Great shot and thanks for sharing - Vikram

Hi.
Nice POV and beautiful colors and contrast for this interesting composition. I really like the tight crop around the houses and the street. Thanks for sharing !

It is one of the most beautiful and particular sights i 've seen by TE about Prague . Simply delicious and with a nice harmony of tones , colours , lights . Anyway Franz Kafka was an cultural icon , very important to understand the reality in the XX centuary throughout central Europe , nothing comparable to Mickey mouse . But you 're right , Prague is oversaturated and travelling to accomplish the amount of topics depicted by the travel agency leaflet is one of the main goals for hordes of tourists ( i guess most of them don't have read a line of Kafka's literature) in pilgrimage across Stare namesto or Charles bridge .Anyway , the picture is superb , fantastic , a real gift for the eyes ...Thanks for sharing Andre
Greetings !

Hi Andre, you got a really good one here! The POV I think is what makes this special, the roofs of the houses give a very geometric feel to this picture. I like it! Tali

I know exactly from where you get this photo, I saw these houses in "Nový svět" many times and I still like it.
And yes, Kafka, Mozart, Švejk...all are being use as a souvenirs, but it's not as bad as you say. For example this part of Prague you take this photo is undiscovered by tourists same as many other parts of "Malá strana" district.

Jolie image.
A+

A pity, these stupid traffic-signs but we cannot always avoid these, I know, I know:-))
A wonderful view on this romantic street, nice colours, nice details, I like it very well, Andre !
