[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
my third view from this place
taken with the wider lens option on my bridge camera
two alternative compositions
one on TE
another one on TL

it's obvious i played with contrasts and saturation, it's a try, maybe it's too much, you'll say... i'll put the original in the WS, you'll see the difference

infos:

strategic place as Helsingør is located on the extreme tip of Zealand at the narrowest point of the Oresund (Danish Øresund), the sound between Denmark and Sweden
which is only four kilometres wide,
from the harbour we can easily see Helsinborg, Sweden

Kronborg acquired its current name in 1585 when it was rebuilt by King Frederick II into a magnificent renaissance castle unique in its appearance and size throughout Europe.
Kronborg is known by many also as "Elsinore," the setting for much of William Shakespeare's famous tragedy Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.

Bonjour,

Hello Jo,
I like the well chosen point of view; the wall on the left makes a good frame and is nicely balanced by the castle and the ship. The ship also provides an interesting tonal contrast with the cooler colours in the rest of the image. Very good colour contrasts and excellent clarity.

Hello Jonathan,
great composition, with lots of interesting layers. Great positioning of the red boat in one of the strongest points of your frame nice use of the diagonals and nice use of the wharf as leading line. Impressive depth of field and a very beautiful sky.
Kind Regards.
Stella

Salut Jo

Amicalement.

Hello Jo,

You make not alone music but you take very good pictures also!
Perspective and depth are absolutely perfect, through the good chooce of your angle.
The red boat and castle in background are a good composition, but the red boat is the eye catcher.
Thanks for sharing.

Greetings from Belgium,
John.

Salut Jo
Bah non, c'est pas too much.

JB.

Hello Jonathan,

Red stain in the middle of blues is really eye catching. You excellently covered the frame with a visitors on pier. Kronborg Castle stays very attractive with its own copper domes and architectures. An excellent view, congratulations.

Best Regards,

Ertugrul

Hi Jonathan,
Lovely sunny view over the very blue sea towards the proud castle. I like the inclusion of the boat on the right, which is a real eyecatcher with its red colour. The quay wall on the left foreground works well too. Thanks for sharing!

Lars

Bonsoir Jonathan,

Hola Jonathan,

Salut jonathan

Good colour, sharpness & framing on the bg castle. Excellent sharpness & nice diagonals & reflections. The saturation on the red ship, is the only area I would exclude from adding saturation. Merci!

Hi Jonathan - I believe that long ago I also posted a shot of this castle. I like your compo, from a distance, cleverly using the "red spot trick" (in this case - the ship). Yes, I believe the original is good enough, probably the WS has better luminosity, while the original has more natural colors (sometimes saturation is a question of taste). Cheers ;) Daniel

Hi Jonathan,
Well this perspective with the wall on the left side, lovely light and colours and good effect with an interesting contrast between the blue water and the red boat.

Bonjour Jo
