View of Faaborg

I didn't really know what photo I should post next, but finally I decided it should be this one, a view of the Danish town of Faaborg, taken from the marina and ferry harbour on a warm, but not too sunny day in August.

Faaborg (or Fåborg) is a town of about 7200 inhabitants on the south-west coast of the island of Fyn (Funen). Faaborg is first mentioned in a document from June 1229, so this is seen as the town's birth date, although it is likely it already existed before this date.
There are several ferry connections from the harbour of Faaborg to islands to the south of Funen, like Ærø. Faaborg is known for the old bell tower of the Skt. Nikolai Kirke, the church was pulled down in 1550, but the tower survived and can been seen in the centre of this photo.

Hope you like this photo and thanks for your visit!
