Istedgade, a photo from Kobenhavn, Est

Photographer's Note

Last spring I took a stroll through the Vesterbro area in Copenhagen looking for street-photos, I like to catch scenes of ordinary daiy life, preferably in a way that keeps it "open".
Here is a young man sitting outside a food place in Istedgade taking a break/waiting for customers and a young woman looking at a record store next to plus some pale spring light = a snapshot in the box that I have returned to several times since then.

tilted and, if i am not mistaken, i recognize the reflection in the window the woman is looking at.
pale light, indeed, for a spring day. as if it needed to ask for excuses to be there.
good youre back.
EDITED: have you noticed only the left hand side is colorful ?

Now where are those winter shots... ;-)

Distinctive crop and orientation... tight, skewed with added treat of reflections in the window. Three people on a busy street perhaps, each in his or her own world. I'd be interested in seeing this in a black and white treatment, perhaps with some noise. I like this nonetheless. Your street photography has been much emulated and appreciated by others on the site. Keep them coming!

It does have quite some tension in it caused by the way the are turned.

Funny picture of daily life;) I think they didn't notice you took this picture, it looks very spontaneus.

There must be a story in this scene, and we can use our imagination to build it in our minds. There is a feeling that something is going to happen, good or bad - I don't know. The tilt adds some mystery, maybe a shallower DoF would add more?
A very good composition, well seen (and welcome back..), Torben.

And back with one of your famous streetshots. I like the light in this one, and the tilt and the PoV, I guess your were really close to the guy.
I guess he was a cook, having a cig outside the restaurant ;-)
