Vesterport Station by Night

A new picture for my theme of Copenhagen by Night, the tenth in the theme.
Here shown is Vesterport Station on the border of the centre of Copenhagen and the quarter named Vesterbro. The picture was taken in June at around 11 o’clock in the evening.

Vesterport Station (which means Western Gate Station) is located between the streets Vester Farimagsgade and Hammerichsgade. The station is for the S-tog (S-Train), the commuter train network in Greater Copenhagen. Almost all the S-Train-lines stop at Vesterport. Regional trains pass the station, but never stop here.
It’s located between the stations Københavns Hovedbanegård, (Copenhagen Central Station) and Nørreport Station (the bussiest station in Denmark) and just before the tube connection between Hovedbanegården and Østerport Station.

On this picture you can see in the foreground pass two regional trains, the right one heading for Nørreport Station (and then probably Helsingør) the one at left heading for the Central Station (and then probably over the bridge to Malmö, Sweden). In the background you can see a S-Train leaving Vesterport Station. The street in the background is Vester Farimagsgade.

I hope you like this night shot!
