This is the Dome of the Christiansborg Castle Church.
Better known as the Danish Parliment Building.
This Church has recently restored after being almost completly destroyed by a New Years Rocket fired off by a couple of drunks in a rowing boat.
The walls are not Marble but use a special technic of Polished Plaster.
The Plasterer who did this work had to be imported from Germany, where the technique is still used. |

Hello Mike,
A good capture of this beautiful and interesting ceiling. Very good colours and clarity as well as good light management. Good to see this sort of workmanship still exists; I just wonder what the grey smudge is in the bottom of the dome.
You've really captured the details of this place well and the light plays beautifully throughout the shot. The column in the top left is a bit distracting, but I'll assume that there was no way around it. I'm also curious about that smudge.
