| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
The Frilands Museum in Lyngby is made up of a collection of houses and other buildings gathered from all over Denmark, Northern Germany, and Southern Sweden. This is the only structure in the museum, that is original to the site: everything else was moved here. Unlike the rest of the buildings in the museum, it is seldom that this windmill is open for visitors. Despite my efforts, I have yet to visit it.
I actually took three different pictures of it, but after looking at them I think this is the best. I'm uploading another in the workshop, just so you can see the details of the bottom story of the structure. This is my last post for a bit, so I'm not going to post it separately. |

Hi Kate.
This is for sure a wonderful shot - so colorful and with the road as a leading line.
I have gor two questions:
- Why did you cut off the wings of the mill?
- Do I recognize some dust-spots on your sensor? You have closed down on f/22, so this is where these annoying dustthingies get out...look at the upper right corner.
By the way, you do some good notes!
Have a nice weekend.
Jan
Hello Kate.
A very nice composition around this child.
I'm sure you didn't take the entire windmill.
Well done.
Kind regards.
Bobo.
Hi Kate,
Another nice shot which you've exposed well, and with a nice line created by the road, and the little child adds some life to the picture. Perhaps if the photo had been exposed just a little less (maybe 2/3 of a stop) then you would have had some more shadow highlight detail to play with and you could have contrasted it a little more for more effect, but that's all and I like it.
Regards
Lee
Hello Kate, nice composition around with this child. Great windmill but I only can understand why you use f/22 for this photo?
