Looking for all the world like a toy soldier, this young sentry stood motionless at his post, guarding one of the gates to the Amalienborg Palace, the official residence of the Danish Royal Family.
Seconds after this photograph was taken however, two female tourists, wanting to be photographed with him, crossed an invisible line, upon which he came smartly to attention, simultaneously slamming his left heel and rifle butt onto the paving with a loud crack.
Needless to say, the two women just about suffered bowel failure and beat a hasty and inelegant retreat, to the great mirth of the people who witnessed the incident.

they said you cannot critique your teacher but i will try my best here.
i like the red and blue contrast here, and mostly i like the fact that you captured it from an angle shows the dust in his jacket caused by resting the gun bottom, so salute to you sir for presenting a wonderful photo.

Hi JP,
wonderful capture on the occasion of the 350 anniversary of the Royal Lifeguard. I like most of all the expression on the face of this very young soldier. Great work!
