Photographer's Note

The Prince Christian Sound is a cold feeling icy waterway in far Southern Greenland. It separates the mainland from Christian IV Island and other islands of the Cape Farewell Archipelago near the southernmost tip of Greenland. The name was given in honour of the prince, later king Christian VIII of Denmark. I was a very cold day with some wind and rain. Yet the photo views were so amaizing I weathered the elements to take many photograhphs, well worth the cough and cold I suffered with later. This image looked like a sea creature with a large back fin. The white is a powerful one as it was with all the icebergs along the way. Like Iceland this journey was well worth my time. AS many say Iceland should be “Greened Land” and Greenland should be “Iced Land”.
