Photographer's Note

The place is not on Aarhus, but on Lolland-Falster, which was not on the list....

While sailing on the Baltic Sea, we were forced to shelter from some rough weather. The first possible harbour turned out to be Rødbyhavn (Lolland). At sunset the storm had passed over and we could enjoy the setting sun.

Walking around, I tried to loose the "sea legs" I got while dancing the polka on the waves for the whole day. I stumbled on a place where all kind of wooden boats had been put ashore to rot in peace.

I have no idea what the locals were going to do with those boats, but I guess they served as firewood for the small smoked fish factory some 100 meters further. The language barrier made difficult to enquire about the boats, but the smoked eel and mackerel were delicious....

I just cropped out some distracting background elements and sharpened slightly.
