Photographer’s Note

Hello folks.
Another photo from Denmark and a place called Råbjerg Mile. We had been to Skagen and looked at the place where two sea's meet. A bit south of Skagen lies Råbjerg mile. It is the largest moving dune in nothern Europe and it's approx 1 squarekilometer. The wind moves the location up to 18 meters/year in a north-easterly direction. The top of the dune is 40 meters above sea level.
I had imagined that I would sink down in the sand when walking up the dune, but it was only the upper, say, 10 centimeters that was concisting of dry sand. Under it the sand was steady.
