As I mentioned in my previous Denmark postings, Danish people are very much concerned about the global warming. So they use non-conventional energy sources, and use clean energy resources.

This picture shows how Danish people use mostly public transportation instead of their personal vehicles. Though Denmark considered as a high per capita income country where people can easily afford a car, people in Denmark opt for cycle or a town bus. I have seen even people having their own vehicle traveled with me in a bus daily to their work place.

These things are touching to see when our mother earth is really under threat of global warming and sea is constantly eating lands in different low laying countries. This will lead to irregularity in rain, climate and reduce productivity of food grain. Recently it can easily observed how much inflation the world is seeing. This things all directly or indirectly connected to global warming.

Here I request all people to try their best to reduce conventional energy source usage and use eco-friendly methods to preserve such a wonderful earth which we share with our loved ones and millions of others.

Hi Deepak,
Well framed scene showing nice old Danish architecture in the background and brightly coloured buses going opposite directions.
Yes, Denmark has efficient public transport and lots of windmills. Do you know if those buses use natural gas or hybrid technologies?
Kari

Hi Deepak,

Very nice color in this photo and excellent theme. Yes the Danish buses are remarkable, but you should know something. The average car in Denmark is sold with 200% tax added. So a car that would cost say $1000 in the US will cost $3000 here. Fuel costs continue to climb. We pay over 50% more for fuel here than we did 3 years ago and fuel is also heavily taxed. So on one hand, Danes are willing to let their politicians tax for the greater good, but there is also a very strong incentive to use those buses. Many families can't afford two cars. Thanks for your interest in Denmark and all the great pictures you've posted.

Kate
